Commercial Drone Training's 92 acre Devon estate is packed with modern teaching and residential facilities enabling you to undertake and complete your UK CAA A2 CofC or GVC Commercial Drone Certificate in one place, for one inclusive price.  Gone are the days of undertaking your training in a hotel conference room where the guest rooms are £100+ per night and food an eye watering extra.  

CDTs inclusive facilities are part of the course fee and include:

Workshop / Teaching Rooms

CDT combine sessions in the lecture theatre with smaller sessions in our teaching rooms.  The teaching rooms suit the exercises being undertaken.  Flight planning using charts / OS maps etc. take up a lot of room, CDT believe students should not be crammed into a hotel conference room like cattle during their educational activities as our competitors do.

We have space coming out of our ears, including a 1000m long enclosed field perfect for range testing you control & video transmission equipment.  

Out Buildings for Aerial Structure Survey Practice

We have a large amount of outbuildings on site for you to hone your close proximety aerial survey techniques.  Under guidance from one of our instructors you will learn the art of aerial visual surveys.  Please see our workshops section for more information.

Student Accomodation

With over 120 beds available, CDT is the only Commercial Drone Training provider in the UK to offer fully residential courses.  Single rooms, Double rooms (with en-suite & shared facilites options), flats & even glamping are available suiting all budgets.  For further information on our accommodation types please

The accommodation is located within 100 metres of CDTs main training block set 900 acres of beautiful parkland campus.  In addition to our inclusive on-site student accommodation, CDT can organise a luxury hotel room with golf facilties if required at the students expense.

Health & Wellbeing Centre

The Health & Wellbeing Centre is home to one of the region’s only hydrotherapy pools open to members of the public. The heated pool is open to people of all ages and abilities, allowing everyone to enjoy the benefits of exercise in warm water. It is safe for non-swimmers and a great way to relieve pain, improve mobility or just relax before a written test or flight examination.

The benefits of using the hydrotherapy pool can include: natural pain relief, improved circulation, freedom of movement, stress relief (flight exams) and improved mobility.  The pool is 12m by 6m and kept at a temperature of 34.5C.  The pool and changing rooms are fully accessible to disabled people, with overhead and chair poolside hoists available upon request. We also have an accessible sauna.
